Introduction to Flight Training - Gliders

Gliders are fixed-wing aircraft that do not utilize engines to move through the air. Instead, aerodynamics and “lift” work together to keep the glider in the air.

Students ages 13+ will learn and fly with expert soaring instructors. Students participate in ground school as well as up to 30 glider flights to prepare for solo.

Students attend weekly “Over the Horizon” classes, where exciting guest speakers share their aviation experience and knowledge. Students can attend these classes virtually or in-person at our Colorado Military Academy location.
