IFT - Drones Part 107
This course is designed for the student that wants to take their drone flight training to the next level. Students ages 14+ will convert their drone built in Introduction to Aerospace One(A) to a First Person View drone.
Students will participate in a step-by-step course of instruction that prepares the student to take the FAA part 107 exam. Students ages 16+ are eligible to obtain their professional drone certification to fly drones. This course will require homework, reading, and memorization of specific rules and regulations. A textbook will be issued with weekly assignments.
On the First Person View side of the class, students will be given a First Person View (FPV) mini drone, goggles, and necessary equipment to learn how to fly using first-person view goggles. Students will also flight train on simulators with an emphasis on safety, personal responsibility, and checklists.
Schedule:
Falcon- classes will meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30.
Castle Rock- classes will meet Fridays from 9:30-3:30.
Milliken- classes will meet on Mondays from 9:30-3:30.
Littleton- classes will meet Tuesdays from 8:30-2:30.
