1A-Intro To Aerospace Studies

Intro to Aerospace Studies is a project-based STEM program for students ages 12-15, offering unique opportunities to experience the excitement of aviation and aerospace through hands-on labs and activities.

Speaker Series

  • Historians, Test Pilots, Cyber Experts, Astronauts, Engineers, Firemen, Combat Veterans and POWs, Meteorologist, Rocket Engine Builders, SpaceX Directors, and more!

Field Trips and Tours

The Air Force Academy, Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum, iFLY, Center For American Values, Weisbrod Museum, Challenger Learning Center, Space Foundation, Museum of WWII Aviation, Ropes Course, Air National Guard C-130 unit, Ft Collins Museum of Discovery, Denver Museum of Science & Nature, Air National Guard Space Communications unit, Aims Community College Aviation Department, CSU and UC Engineering Departments, FE Warren AFB, Buckley AFB, , National Center for Atmospheric Research Supercomputer, with new additions every year!

Flight Experiences

  • Hot air balloon rides (some locations)

  • Glider flights with highly experienced pilots

  • First hand experience at the controls of an airplane

  • Helicopter flights

  • Vertical wind tunnel

Workshops

  • Build/Fly/Repair/fly their own Remote Controlled Aircraft

  • Build/Fly/Repair/fly their own Drones

    *Students keep the aircrafts they build!*

Falcon- classes meet on either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:30 am-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Colorado Springs - classes meet on Fridays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm throughout the school year.

Milliken- classes meet the first three Fridays of each month from 8:00am-2:00pm throughout the school year.

Woodland Park- classes meet on Wednesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Castle Rock- classes meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Parker- classes meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Littleton- classes meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Grand Junction- classes meet Thursdays from 2:00-5:00pm throughout the school year.

Elizabeth- classes meet on Wednesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.

Boulder- classes meet Thursdays from 9:30-3:30pm throughout the school year.
