YOUNG FALCONS
Building a foundation for 9-11 year olds to pursue more advanced aerospace studies. Young Falcons is designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and cultivate critical thinking skills through hands-on exploration of STEM disciplines.
Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on fostering collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Students will engage in inquiry-based learning experiences, encouraging them to ask questions, explore new ideas, and make connections between STEM concepts and real-world applications. By the end of the program, participants will emerge as confident, creative thinkers equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel in the exciting world of STEM.
Highlights of learning opportunities:
Aviation and Aerospace- Through engaging experiments, flight simulatior, and model-building activities, participants will grasp the fundamentals of lift, thrust, drag, and weight.
Robotics-Through hands-on projects and programming challenges, students will design, build, and program their own robots using Lego Spike robotics.
3D Printing- Students will learn the basics of computer-aided design (CAD) software to create their own 3D models. Students will explore the transformative power of this emerging technology across various industries.
Space Exploration- From the missions of Challenger Learning Center to engineering challenges, students will delve into the history and future of space exploration.
Drones- Students will explore the applications of drones in various fields through interactive demonstrations and simulators.
Rockets- Through engaging multimedia presentations and hands-on activities, students will be introduced to topics such as components of rockets, the forces of flight, and the physics of propulsion.

Castle Rock- classes meet Wednesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Centennial- classes meet Thursdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Elizabeth- classes meet Wednesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Falcon- classes meet on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:30 am-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Grand Junction- classes meet Thursdays from 2:00-5:00pm throughout the school year.
Leadville- classes meet Thursdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Littleton- classes meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Milliken- classes meet Fridays from 8:00am-2:00pm throughout the school year.
Monument- classes meet either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Parker- classes meet Tuesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
Woodland Park- classes meet on Wednesdays from 9:30-3:30 pm throughout the school year.
